At\u00a0 re:publica 2024, Studio Quantum, an artist-in-residence and events programme by Goethe-Institut, will explore the role of art in emerging quantum technologies, aligning with the festival’s theme “Who cares?”.<\/p>\n
Irish visual artist and PhD researcher Nadia J. Armstrong who explores performance, 3D composition, AI, and expanded video, will present. She is currently in her first year of an interdisciplinary PhD at Ireland’s National College of Art and Design and CONNECT – the Science Foundation Ireland Research Centre for Future Networks and Communications. Nadia is examining technology’s underlying knowledge systems from an artist-ethnographic, ecosocial, cyborg feminist perspective. <\/span><\/p>\n The artistic duo kennedy+swan will join to share some insights into their Studio Quantum residency in Ireland, where their meetings with local project partners and their journey around the country inspired the creation of their newest piece \u2013 a VR experience revolving around AI, quantum, and healthcare.
