Irish artist Conor Walton will present ‘Saturnalia’, a major exhibition of his figurative paintings, \u00a0at Galerie Feinart in Berlin. The Saturnalia, according to tradition the most popular festival in ancient Rome, still stands for exuberance, abundance, the exercised pleasure in the whole realm of the sensual and the suspension of class boundaries (slaves were treated as equals). Three reasons lead from here to the title “SATURNALIA” for this exhibition of paintings by Walton: the allegorical fantasy, the realism of sensuality, the provocation of the absurd.<\/p>\n
The opening reception is at 6pm, Thursday 12th September; all welcome.
